What services do you offer?
Tree of Life Psychological Services, PLLC provides professional development, training, individual and group consultation, and speaking services designed to support educators, schools, and organizations. Services may include staff workshops, presentations, consultation, and customized learning experiences focused on practical, evidence-informed strategies that promote student well-being and support the adults who serve them.

Dr. Johnson works primarily with schools, school districts, educators, administrators, and organizations seeking support related to student well-being, mental health, behavior, and educational success. Services can be tailored to meet the needs of different audiences, including teachers, support staff, leadership teams, and other professionals.

Who do you work with?
Training and presentations can address a variety of topics related to student mental health, trauma informed practices, behavior, emotional well-being, and supporting students in educational settings. Topics may include understanding student behavior, building supportive relationships, responding to challenging behaviors, promoting resilience, and creating environments that support both student and staff well-being. Presentations can also be developed around the specific needs and interests of your audience. As an example, Dr. Johnson has had recent speaking engagements and trainings on topics such as Prematurity (School Neuropsychology Conference), Autism in Females / Autism Intervention (National Association of School Psychologists), and Differential Eligibility in Autism (3 hour recorded webinar for CEUs). Can services be customized for our school or organization?

Absolutely. Every school and organization has unique needs, goals, and challenges. Services can be customized based on your audience, setting, professional development goals, and areas of need. During the initial consultation, we will discuss your goals and develop an approach that is relevant, practical, and meaningful for your team.
Do you provide counseling, assessment or other clinical services?

No. While Dr. Johnson is a licensed psychologist, Tree of Life Psychological Services PLLC focuses on professional training, public speaking, and consultations services for schools, districts, and organizations rather than assessment or counseling services.
If assessment, counseling, or other clinical services are needed, Dr. Johnson can provide appropriate referrals and resources to help connect you with qualified providers.
Following the initial complimentary 15-minute consultation, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate and Scope of Work outlining the services recommended, estimated time involved, and associated fees. The Scope of Work and fees will be reviewed and agreed upon before services begin.
Consultation services start at $250 per hour but each requested service is individualized based on need. Time will be tracked throughout the engagement, and hours will be documented and provided to the client. Fees for public speaking engagements and training session fees are based on the time involved in preparation and speaking, along with travel expenses if completed in person. Dr. Johnson is willing to travel as her schedule allows. A proposed rate of service will be provided after the free initial 15 minute consultation. Payment is accepted via Zelle, cash, or check.
Please note that appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice or missed appointments will be charged at the full scheduled rate.

Do you take insurance?
Dr. Johnson brings a unique combination of doctoral-level training, professional expertise, and real-world experience to her work. As a doctoral-level psychologist with specialized training in school neuropsychology, she has spent more than 20 years working as a school psychologist and professor across three states. Her experience also includes founding and directing a university-based autism clinic, serving as a professor for 14 years, and contributing to the field through numerous publications, book chapters, and professional presentations at national conferences and venues.
Beyond her professional experience, Dr. Johnson brings the perspective of a mother of four children, including two who are adopted. This combination of extensive professional training and personal experience allows her to connect research and best practices with the practical realities faced by families, schools, and organizations.
Through Tree of Life Psychological Services PLLC, Dr. Johnson provides training, public speaking, and consultation support designed to help school districts and organizations better understand and respond to the complex needs of the individuals and families they serve.
